A Tour of Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel
East coast girl visits Disneyland!
I’ve journeyed all around the USA and have been to California a half a dozen times, this, however, was my first trip to Disneyland. As a tried and true Walt Disney World fan, my excitement to visit Walt’s first theme park was palpable.
Coming from the east coast (NJ area) made for a rather long travel day, so I was happy to settle into my Paradise Pier hotel room and grab a quick bite to eat at the Surfside Lounge. Their Paradise Club Sandwich was delish and the surprise birthday cupcake was a fun treat!
My first morning in the parks was dedicated to the “Walk in Walt’s Footsteps” guided tour. It was a perfect way to become oriented with the park layout and was immersive in the parks history and Walt Disney’s vision. Over the next few days, I enjoyed exploring both parks, Downtown Disney and all three on property resorts. Every thing is super close and manageable.
My trip tips:
~invest in the park hopper option – it’s so convenient to hop between parks
~stay at an on property resort and enjoy the early morning access to the parks. I conquered Carsland in 1 hour with minimum lines.
~bring a sweater, early morning & evenings were a little chilly
Disneyland is an ahh-mazing vacation spot for families to “chill-lax” and have tons of fun with memories for a lifetime!
I stayed at the Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel. Looking for a whimsical yet restful stay, Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel features sand and surf themed furnishings and decor. Families of all sizes will enjoy calling Paradise Pier their home away from home during their Disneyland visit.
What makes this resort hotel unique:
- Dining with a character at Surf’s Up! Breakfast with Mickey & Friends at Disney’s PCH Grill
- rooftop pool with waterslide, children’s pool and whirlpool hot tub
- view of Disneyland fireworks show from the third floor pool deck
- views of Disney California Adventure Park and World of Color nighttime water spectacular
