Question for The Disney Moms: We are planning a WDW trip in November. We will be celebrating my grandsons 5th birthday. The theme is Jake and the Neverland Pirates. We need ideas for planning a small party for him. We want to have a cake and a few decorations somewhere down there. We are staying at the Pop Century Resort and we are planning to visit all 4 parks. Any ideas for fun in celebrating the full week for his birthday.
No Worries Matey, celebrating with your Pirate scout is as easy as one two three with a few quick phone calls, and clever ideas. You’re at the most magical place on earth, no need to worry. There are so many opportunities within the resorts themselves to have character-themed parties;however, I think a very special 5th Birthday inside the parks is even better!
My suggestion to you would be to plan on visiting Disney’s Hollywood Studios. He can have the perfect photo op with Jake and other favorites while visiting the Disney Junior dance party that is only during Evening Extra Magic Hours (so double check upon arrival). At Disney’s Hollywood Studios, your son is sure to go crazy for Cubby, Izzy, and Jake, so be sure to catch the Disney Junior Live stage show. The park will tell you to check that day’s schedule, you can do so online, however, there is always a chance that is could be cancelled that day or within a change.
Another Mom here had a super idea for your son, and that is to dine at Hollywood and Vine (some dining plans are accepted, it’s $$-$$$) for some great American cuisine that boasts character dining (all conveniently located inside Hollywood studios). The best news is you can call ahead for a cake, and drum roll, he can dine with a visit from Jake himself inside the restaurant, which is the icing on the cake if you ask me. To do so, call the cake line where you can have any cake delivered to any restaurant or resort–it can also be signed by Jake himself!
If you chose Hollywood and Vine for your dining, you can plan on having a visit with Special Agent Oso, June from The Little Einsteins, and Handy Manny! Hope you have a Wonderful visit with your son, and Happy Early Birthday!
