If you are planning a vacation to Disney with a child in need of a stroller, here is what you need to know so you can save yourself some money! Disney does rent strollers from their theme parks. With these strollers, you are allowed use of them throughout the day in the park. However, once it is time to go back to your resort, you must turn in that stroller. I never liked this because by the time the end of the day arrived, my child was too tired to walk and I was way too tired to be responsible for carrying him and all of the bags we had brought to the parks!
The cost to rent a single stroller from the Disney parks is as follows:
Single Stroller – Recommended for children 50 lbs. or less.
- Daily: $15
- Multi-Day (Length of Stay): $13
Double Stroller – Recommended for children 100 lbs. or less.
- Daily: $31
- Multi-Day (Length of Stay): $27
The average person travels to Disney for 5 days. At $15 per day for 5 days, the total cost would be $75. However, if you instead purchase and bring along your own stroller such as this Mickey Mouse Umbrella Stroller which costs $34.99 plus $8.99 shipping (Total of $43.98), you would save $31.02. You would also save yourself from having to carry your child after a long park day, as well as the time you would spend daily on waiting in line to rent a stroller.
If your child weighs over 50 pounds, you will need to pay out even more to get the double stroller. There are a wide variety of strollers available for great prices on Amazon.com which will also help you save money off of your Disney trip!
