Disney’s Port Orleans French Quarter Resort is my favorite resort on the Disney Campus. It is also one of the smallest resorts and is the sister resort to Disney’s Port Orleans Riverside Resort. The moment you step foot into this resort you are taken to Mardi Gras! The music and atmosphere are just beautiful! Grab some beads and join in on the fun!
There are 3 type of rooms to choose from – Standard, Water, or Garden views. As you stroll down the cobblestone streets to your room, admire the sounds and peacefulness of this resort. If you on your way to the pool. You will be greeted by very friendly band of alligators. They will show you the way to the pool that includes a dragon slide! There is also a shallow kids pool in this area.
Unlike most moderate Disney resorts, Disney’s Port Orleans French Quarter does not have a sit down restaurant. It is a short walk or boat ride to the Riverside Resort to eat at Boatwright’s. You can find Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory is a quick service dining area and they also have Pizza take out & delivery.
Looking for a little fun entertainment? Head to Scat Cat’s Lounge! There is also a bar out by the pool.
As for transportation – you will need to take a bus to where you are going. Except downtown, take a leisurely boat ride to downtown via the Sassagoula River.
Disney’s Port Orleans French Quarter also has a Jacuzzi, playground, arcade, Jackson Square store, you can also rent bikes!
Brande – I love to cook, go to the beach, and of course we are Disney Addicts! I’m always on the search for best deals and happening for our next trip to Mickey’s House! Savvy!
