Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort

If you enjoy Spanish styles, your next Disney resort should be Disney’s Coronado Springs.  This Disney resort follows the footsteps of explorer Don Francisco de Coronado; follow him through the 3 villages throughout this spacious resort.

Disney’s Coronado Springs has a remarkable 1,917 rooms and suites to accommodate families and business travelers.  Internal busses throughout the complex make maneuvering this expansive resort much easier.  Coronado Springs has a huge convention center as well as a ballroom and business service center.  Usually thought of a convention type hotel it can be over looked by families, I’m here to tell you it’s for everyone.

Disney’s Coronado Springs has various room types for everyone throughout the villages of Casitas, Rancheros, and Cabanas.  All settled around the 22-acre lake, enjoy your hot days after the parks in one of the pools.  The themed main pool or “The Dig Site” is surrounded by a 46 foot replica of Mayan pyramid; the pool also features the Jaguar Slide.  Next to “The Dig Site” pool is WDW’s largest hot tub; it fits up to 22 people!  Looking for a quieter place to swim?  Each village has their own quiet pool.

Looking for a place to eat?  Maya Grill is a unique / themed dining.  There are 3 quick service dining options including Café Rix, Pepper Market, and Siestas Cantina.  Don’t let me forget lounges – Laguna Bar, Rix Lounge, and Siestas Cantina.  Room service is available for breakfast and dinner also.

Some of the recreational activities at Disney’s Coronado Springs include volleyball, jogging trail, playground, arcade, and fishing.  In addition, Disney’s Coronado Springs has a health club, hair salon, and Niki Bryan Spa. If you head to the beach you will be able to enjoy a crackling fire and marshmallow, which is a nice change from the norm.

Don’t forget your souvenirs!  Panchito’s Gifts and Sundries named after one of the parrots in the Three Caballeros can help you out!

Brande Grieder – My crew and I hail from New Jersey.  I love to cook, go to the beach, and of course we are Disney Addicts!  I have a small obsession with Captain Jack Sparrow and Pirates of the Caribbean!  I’m always on the search for best deals and happening for our next trip to Mickey’s House!   Savvy!
