Disney’s Pop Century Resort


What is your favorite century?  Settled around Hourglass Lake, at Disney’s Pop Century you can stroll through each century from the 50’s to the 90’s.  At this Disney Value Resort you can experience larger than life yo-yo’s, bowling pins, play doh buckets, and even Lady & the Tramp!

Pop-Century-Resort-040Grab your poodle skirt for the 50’s theme building – here you can see Lady & the Tramp and a 40 foot tall jukebox.  In the center of it all is the bowling pin shaped pool.

Perhaps you’re looking for more color then head to the 60’s theme building.  Pop-Century-Resort-044Greeting you will be our friends from “The Jungle Book” along with a huge play doh container and yo-yo’s hang on the stair cases.  Don’t forget to take a dip in the Hippy Dippy Pool that is in the center courtyard.

pop-century-resort-gallery05The 70’s theme building you will find a classic Mickey Mouse on a rotary phone, 8 tracks, and a soccer table.  How can we forget every kid’s famous ride the “Big Wheels”!

Big Hair and Big Dreams in the 80’s theme building!  Rubik’s Cube and a Walkman adorn the buildings here.   The 80’s pool is shaped in to a computer complete with a squishy keyboard deck area.Pop_Century_Resort_70

Bring on the cell phones and laptops for the 90’s!

The main building is Classic Hall here you will check in, find the gift shop, game room and something to eat.  Everything Pop Dining Hall offers quick service meals and snacks including pizza delivery to your room.  For the adults head to Petals Pool Bar for an evening cocktail.

All the rooms are stand sized rooms for Disney about 260 square feet.  Each room has a TV, phone, fridge, safe, iron & iron board.

You will need to drive or take Disney’s Transportation to any of the parks.  While you there you can stroll over to Disney’s newest resort Art of Animation just take Generation Gap Bridge.
