Food and Wine Festival is in full swing at EPCOT these days. This is one of our family’s favorite times to visit Walt Disney World Resort because of the obvious reasons: It’s generally less expensive to visit during this time of year, there’s added food options, and the weather is generally pretty great as well. It seems that every year Disney tries to add something new to the festival, which is nice for those of us that been multiple times. This year is no exception.
I really enjoy taking in some of the seminars that are offered during these special times at Disney. Is this easier to do without kids? Absolutely, but we all know Walt Disney World isn’t just for the kids, right? New this year is “Food for Thought,” “International Food & Wine Festival – Boot Camp Series,” and “Shake and Indulge Like the French featuring Grand Marnier.”
“Food for Thought” is an added event where you can choose one of the offered Celebrity Chefs depending on the date they’re available, and you can listen to their stories and pick up tips that you can apply to your own culinary masterpieces at home.
The “Boot Camp Series” is a way to enhance your abilities through workshops on anything from cake decorating to pickling. These workshops take place on select Sundays and will be finishing up on October 19th, so if you’re available to check this out, make your reservation post-haste!
“Shake and Indulge Like the French featuring Grand Marnier” sounds right up my alley. I’ve always wanted to be really fabulous at making cocktails, but not quite enough to actually enroll in some sort of bar tending school. This workshop promises to teach you how to muddle and shake like a pro. Each cocktail will also be paired with decadent deserts, so you get to learn how to mix like a pro and eat amazing deserts? Sign me up!
