Port Adventures – Disney Style

When booking your Disney Cruise, make sure you check out the port adventures/shore excursions selected by DCL.  On each of our 5 cruises, we have booked amazing shore excursions that enhanced our cruising experience.  You may book online before leaving for your magical vacation.  By using the port excursions recommended by DCL,
you can be sure to enjoy an adventure with all the service, quality and fun that you would expect from Disney.

In June of 2014, we set sail with 15 of our family members to explore breathtaking Alaska.  At each of the ports, we opted to experience a shore excursion set up by Disney. In Skagway, our family decided to do the Grizzly Falls Ziplining Expedition.  This was an exhilarating adventure which included 11 ziplines and 4 skybridges.  We got to know each of our guides which made our experience fun.  They even showed our kids how to do flips while ziplining.

In Juneau, we did the Best of Juneau excursion.  This included a boat ride to view the hump back and orca whales.  We were able to see many wildlife including the hump back whales, bald eagles, seals and much more.  This excursion also included a naturalist that help identify all the wildlife.  At lunch time, we enjoyed a salmon bake at an island and then set off to see the famous Mendenhall Glacier.  Getting up close to a glacier was an experience of a lifetime!

While in Ketchekan, we did the Great Alaskan Lumberjack show.  This is a must see show for all ages!  The lumberjacks and actresses really engaged the audience and made it fun for the whole family.  Plus, according to my nieces and daughters the lumberjack guys were not bad to look at.  Lol!

So when you book your DCL cruise, make sure you check out the excursions that Disney has to offer…they are definitely worth it!
