The Shades of Green Resort on Walt Disney World Resort

  Are you a military member (active, retired, reserve or National Guard) or a DOD employee? If you are you may be eligible to stay at the Shades of Green Resort on Walt Disney World resort. This resort is located right near The Polynesian Resort, in the Magic Kingdom resort area. It is located on 27 acres and is right between 2 golf courses.

The Shades of Green resort has 583 rooms that sleep up to 5 people. In the standard rooms there are 2 queen beds and a sleeper sofa. These rooms are some of the biggest rooms on Disney property.

The Shades of Green has several places to eat as well as a Starbucks. There is bus transportation that runs from the resort to the parks all day, so you don’t have to drive.

There is a ticket sales office where you can buy discounted tickets to the theme parks and other attractions near Orlando.

Rates for the Shades of Green depends on what rank you are in the military, weather you are active duty, reserve, guard or retired. For a standard room, rates range from $95 – $131 and there is no tax on your room since it is run by the military.
